Balay Inato Pension is strategically located at 294 Manalo Extension. It is just a 2- to 5-minute drive from the Puerto Princesa International Airport so you don’t have to worry about wasting time on airport transfers. Easily accessible, the inn is about 0.5 kilometers from the city proper. This means it is close enough to the local points of interest (iconic restaurants and other commercial establishments) but just far enough from the hustle and bustle (and noise!) of the city that our guests can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere during their vacation.

The Standard Room comfortably sleeps two to three persons. A two-person stay is quoted at P1,200 per night. (As at 2014). Guests are entitled to a free breakfast.

At less than P2,500 per night, (As at 2014) you together with your family and friends can stay at our spacious family and double rooms. The rooms can comfortably sleep two to four persons (although our entire house can accommodate up to 40 people). They are air-conditioned and the interiors are pleasantly simple yet inviting and chic.

Each has its own backyard, a lanai that you can retreat to as you cap off your day. We also provide CCTV security, cable television, an intercom, a standby power generator and free Wi-Fi access. You can even request for laundry service or a spa massage. Plus, your daily breakfast is on us!

We take pride as well in having been named the cleanest and greenest establishment of all inns and restaurants in Puerto Princesa in March 2012. So you can expect rooms that are spic-and-span and cleaned daily. We even change your linens and towels and replenish your bathroom supplies every day.

Haim Chicken Inato is the first and original chicken house in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. It started in January 17, 1999. Haim Chicken Inato shortly became one of the premier restaurants in Palawan giving the pioneer taste of chicken inasal in Palawan.

The restaurant’s signature dish, from which it’s named after, Chicken Inato, is a delicious barbecue chicken dish marinated in sweet tangy sauce and grilled to perfection. It is a popular recommendation not only by locals but also by tourists who have tried this place.

The Princess Armicha Pension House is a good quality budget priced place to stay in Puerto Princesa City Proper. It is easy walking distance to most of the main city area, MacDonalds, Chowking etc. 🙂  and just a few minutes drive to the Airport.

The rooms are clean, the internet is good (for the Philippine Islands), and management responds very fast to get it back up when they are notified of WiFi connection problems.

My rating is excellent for the price. We paid 1,350 pesos per night for a double room with hot showers, and breakfast for two in the rooftop eating area. We could also use that open area for sitting at any time, and the WiFi was also very good there.  The breakfast was good, and I liked the pancakes; they were different though, thinner and crispier than American hotcakes but not quite like crepes.  I did like them though, but I should have brought my own maple syrup 🙂

I was quite comfortable here for 5 nights, even with the smallish room.

Room details: Double bed, single bed, wardrobe and table with TV. Air conditioned. Decent Bathroom with hot and cold shower.  Beds linen and towels were changed every day, just make sure you leave your key at reception so they know you are out, and they can enter the room.

The food in the Green Verde restaurant here is good, and reasonably priced compared to some others. In March 2013 we had Sweet and sour pork, Vegetable curry and two fresh Kalamanci juices, at a price of 365 pesos.

I have not stayed at the hotel though.

One of the best hotels in the Sabang area of Palawan, and only a short ride to the Underground River, now one of the Seven New Natural Wonders of the World.

However, one feature that caught my eye was the wording “the only resort on Sabang Beach to offer our guests Air Conditioning and continuous power supply“.
Other options have Electricity only between 6pm and 6am according to most information I have seen.  I do doubt if this is the ONLY Hotel or Resort with its own 24 hr generator. UPDATE: Other hotels do have power for more hours than that, and I noticed that Sabang has more solar panels and windturbines (albeit small ones) than anywhere I have seen yet.

A very friendly place to stay, with the host and staff being very nice.

Our accommodation had one bedroom and one living/cooking/dining room and a bathroom, but just a cold shower, no hot water. The bedroom was airconditioned, and a stand fan was available for the other room. Having a fridge, rice cooker, kettle and single gas ring for cooking was very useful for a longer stay.

And I must mention, this was the cheapest place we have stayed at so far, with a quoted nightly rate of 750 pesos for our rooms (One Bedroom Duplex). They also have more expensive options if required.

It isn’t 5 star, but then neither is the price. I give this place 100% for value for money.
