How much is the Overstaying Fee for Tourists in the Philippines?
Most Tourists to the Philippines are allowed to stay for 30 days before needing to apply for a Visa. The first Tourist Visa extension is the initial extension of twenty-nine (29) days, taking the visit up to 59 days.
This is commonly followed by a two month extension, although some Bureau of Immigration offices allow a 6 month extension.
If a person stay in the Philippines without a Valid Visitor Visa, then penalties are applied, and added to the unpaid Visa fees.
These combined penalties and fees can add up over time and can be something like the following figures:
I have calculated the following approximate costs for overstay payments including Visa Fees, ACR cards and Penalties.
Pesos:
4,310 From One day to One Month Overstay (Updated Sept 2017)
6,000 Total for between One and Two Months Overstay (Updated July 2018)
13,000 Total for Up to Three Month Overstay
15,000 Total for Up to Four Month Overstay
17,000 Total for Up to Five Month Overstay
18,000 Total for Up to Six Months Overstay
20,000 Total for Up to Seven Month Overstay
22,000 Total for Up to Eight Month Overstay
24,000 Total for Up to Nine Month Overstay
26,000 Total for Up to Ten Month Overstay
28,000 Total for Up to Eleven Month Overstay
30,000 Total for Up to Twelve Months Overstay
60,000 Total for Up to Two Years Overstay
90,000 Total for Up to Three Years Overstay
120,000 Total for Up to Four Years Overstay
150,000 Total for Up to Five Years Overstay
180,000 Total for Up to Six Years Overstay
210,000 Total for Up to Seven Years Overstay
240,000 Total for Up to Eight Years Overstay
270,000 Total for Up to Nine Years Overstay
300,000 Total for Up to Ten Years Overstay
450,000 Total for Up to Fifteen Years Overstay
Note: These are approximate costs. Immigration will determine the exact cost when you visit their office.
A reasonable ‘estimate’ can be made by calculating 3,000 pesos for every month of Overstay. Or about 30,000 for each year.
These figures are approximate calculations based on 2016 fees. They may reduce the cost if they base it on the actual fees dues for older years, which may be less than the 2016 fees.
Charges can also be higher in some cases, such as one example in the comments below:
Pesos:
79,500 For a 19 months overstay.
Financial Penalties for Visa Overstay in the Philippines:
The minimum penalties appear to be:
- All Visa Extension Fees not previously paid.
- Fine for Overstaying – (additional) Php 500.00 per month
- Motion for Reconsideration for Overstaying – (additional) Php 500.00
I have read that the Overstay fee for just a few days would be about 4,000 pesos.
This would be the 3,030 peso first Visa Extension fee + Overstay Fees. (2015 fees)
If the Overstay is for over one month, but less than two months, then I would guess that the fee would be closer to 12,000 peso, made up as follows:
3,030 pesos – First Visa Extension fee
7,340 pesos – Next Visa Extension fee plus the ACR-i card fee
1,000 pesos – Fine for Overstaying (2 months)
500 pesos – Motion for Reconsideration for Overstaying
If the Overstay is for just over one year, then I would guess that the fee would be closer to 35,000 peso, PLUS possible DEPORTATION. The fee would be made up as follows (assume figures for 13 months):
3,030 pesos – First Visa Extension fee
22,490 pesos – Six x 2 month Visa Extension fees plus the ACR-i card fee
6,000 pesos – Fine for Overstaying (12 months)
500 pesos – Motion for Reconsideration for Overstaying
plus maybe one ACR-i card renewal fee
That is my guess, based on the actual costs for Normal Visas last year. If anyone has paid an Overstay Fee, please give details in the comments box below, showing the date and the fee paid and the total days overstayed. Thank you.
The Official Statement for Visa Extensions is:
Foreigners admitted under Section 9 (a) of the Philippine Immigration Act (PIA) of 1940, as amended, or Executive Order No. 408, as amended, may extend their authorized stay every two (2) months for a total stay of not more than:
– a) Twenty-four (24) months for visa-required nationals; and
– b) Thirty-six (36) months for non-visa required nationals.
The said periods shall be counted from the date of applicant’s latest recorded arrival.
Overstaying Foreigners in the Philippines
Foreigners who have overstayed for twelve (12) months or less but have been in the country beyond the maximum allowable period already may be permitted to update their stay with order to leave the country within fifteen (15) calendar days therefrom and their names may be included in the Bureau’s blacklist upon the discretion of the Commissioner; Provided that, the Commissioner, in the exercise of sound judgment, may allow such foreigners to update and extend their stay taking into consideration their Filipino lineage, medical condition, minority and other analogous circumstances.
Foreigners who have overstayed for more than twelve (12) months regardless if their stay is within the maximum allowable period or those found to be overstaying by virtue to a complaint or Mission Order regardless of the period shall be referred for deportation.

I arrived here in the Philippines during the heat of the covid 19 pandemic which seemed like everyday a lockdown, I wanted to extend my visa but was unable to travel 5 hours away due to lockdowns and being told I would have to quarinetine for 14 there and once I got home which was insane! I have been here for 14 months expired visa I want to pay the fines fees and bring my visa up to date! I went with an online visa service which turned out to be a scam they scanned me for 60k peso no visa lying bastards so now I learn my visa expired I’m so paranoid that I’ve thought about kayaking from Palawan to the tip of Malaysia lol but I need to know can I just pay the fines and leave I don’t want to stay I want to leave this hell hole…ive been robbed scammed used and Im so fustrated !
I am pretty sure they are normally lenient during the COVID times, so you need to get to an office when you can, and sort it out.
I did read that you need to apply for an extension within 30 days after the lockdown is lifted. Otherwise normal rules apply, fines etc.
That should mean you just pay the fines, and leave.
I also suggest reading this guide on leaving: https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/covid-19/departingfromtheph
No more quarantine measures, just mainly the vaccine to fly out now. Go talk to immigration, they are pretty understanding. I think you can plead your case if you show the receipt for the online scam to them. Also request a reconsideration for your visa to be updated. You will need to pay overstay fees but you should have time to plan an exit. I would not fear them, just be honest and they should work with you to help you exit. If you have no money, you can declare indigent status. In that case go to your country’s embassy first. Good luck.
hi I have foriegner husband who’s not living with me he’s now over stay for 3month what his violation to immigration
He has no visa and is therefore an ‘illegal alien’ as they say.
He will need to update his visa, and pay all fines, before he can leave the country again.
Hi admin
Just wanna ask my friend boyfriend is from Australia and he book his ticket to visit here in Philippines, now he found out that his ticket is one day over
Ex: december 14 2017 5:pm arrived here in Philippines, and January 15. 2017 12:10am flight back to oz.
What will be happen? Thanks
Using your example, the 30 day visa from 14/12/2017 would actually expire 30 days later on 13/01/2018.
As he would hit 2 days overstay he would need to get a 1 month extension. The cost of this was 2,130 mentioned by Fhem in a comment on 17/8/2017. I think the first extension is still 3,030 pesos, though.
In an example where the flight leaves at 10 minutes past midnight just encroaching into the 31st day, it would be interesting, as you pass immigration on the 30th day anyway, and, as long as your flight is not delayed, it might be OK.
Knowing how strict immigration can be, and often is, I would play safe and get the 1 month extension anyway.
I once spent over 2 hours trying to sort out my exit, at an airport immigration office, but I arrived at the airport really early, so I still caught the flight, just. But it came close to missing it. So I would prefer to be safe in future.
Hi admin..my husband had overstayed on a balikbayan visa for one year and two months now. I am aware that the laws and punishments apply same with tourist visa. We are willing to pay all the fines and penalties, it just happened that we’re doing it very late because was got broke because my husband got very sick and recently only we got financial assistance from his family. Is there a possible way for my husband not to be deported after we voluntarily go to immigration, ask apology and settle all the fines and penalties? Will they still allow him to get an extension? What can we do? Hopefully you can enlighten me as this situation of ours makes me so worried and giving me sleepless nights. We really wanted to go immigration now and pay but we’re very scared that they just detain and deport him though we are willing to pay all the fees and beg for consideration. Hoping for your kind response. Thank u
From what I have seen, few people are deported in that way, but there are no guarantees.
If it was me, I would get my Filipino partner to go into the local immigration, on their own, and ask on my behalf. If you manage to get a nice helpful officer, and they say it is all OK, then go back together, and make sure you see that same one.
Also, nice people are treated better than those that annoy an immigration officer. It seems a simple thing to say, but I have seen some people that appear to want to make trouble for themselves, with the attitude they have towards an immigration officer.
hi admin,my daughter is a japanese citizen and she’s overstayed here in the Philippines for almost 9months.what would i have to do please help me.except paying her penalty what is the next moves to do?thank you
You just need to apply for an extension, and pay the fines and visa fees.
Do not leave it too long, as “Foreigners who have overstayed for more than twelve (12) months shall be referred for deportation.”
A immediate visit to the nearest Immigration office is advisable.
Hi
My situation is quite complicated, I was born in the Philippines and grew up in Hong Kong, as a HK resident I used to hold a Philippine passport and a British National Overseas passport but my Philippine passport has expired because it holds my ex-husbands surname and i have been married again and have my presents husbands surname. The consulate in HK has told me that I had to go through alot of procedures to renew my passport, now I do not have the time to wait for a new Philippine passport but have to use my BNO to enter the Philippines, I planned to stay for 14 days, incase I overstayed 7 days which is the days BNO holders are allowed to stay, what procedures should I do and how much fine will I need to pay?
I have no experience with a British National Overseas passport, but I would assume that you do what others do, and apply for a visa extension, within the initial visa period. (7 days in your case). You could ask about this at the airport when you arrive. (Some people have said they have done an immediate extension on arrival.)
Alternatively you could apply for a visa before travel. Check with your nearest Philippines Embassy or Consulate.
The penalties for not having a visa are not very high, but can involve missing flights etc, if not dealt with before leaving. Best to do the visa extension immediately. This is normally a cost of about 3,030 peso.
I lost my us passport that I used to enter the philippines and got a replacement passport. Can I leave or will I have problems since my entry stamp is in the lost passport?
If you have had visa extensions, just take the receipt for that, as that would show immigration your valid dates. Also proof of passport loss/change in some way. Otherwise I would go to a local Immigration office to clarify the situation. You don’t want too much hassle at the airport, and risk missing the flight.
thank you for the reply. that is the problem. i have nothing but the new passport alone becuz everything was lost with the old passport. do they have records on my last entry since i have no proof?
You raise an interesting point, if you have not had any visa extensions done.
I am not sure they do much recording at the airport immigration. All I recall is a quick stamp, and its done.
I would advise going to an immigration bureau office and explaining your situation and concerns. Maybe having a copy of flight details would be handy to show proof of dates.
If a visa extension had been done, they should have records, and could maybe print out a fresh receipt?
Or at the very least, 3,030 pesos for a visa extension, to at least have something.
Getting to the airport and not being able to prove entry date, leaves you open to the need for an Exit Clearance Certificate, and that needs an ACR card, and valid visa papers. That would be a nightmare while waiting for a flight, that you would probably not catch.
What date did you actually last arrive?
hi admin… my friend over stay one month how much is the cost of penalties? if she paid the first penalty she can live again here in the philippines? once she paid the penalty? or she need to pay every month penalties?
The penalty is actually quite small, around 1,000 for one month, but must be paid on top of the unpaid visa fees.
The figures in the post are very close approximations, so you can use that as a guide.
It should be straight forward to do the visa renewal and be able to continue the stay.
Just ensure the person keeps the visa up to date all the time in the future.
Continued visa breaches could cause deportation and a ban on re-entry.
Hi admin . I’m macedonian i have overstayed for 8 months , my visa extend expired last december 2016 please tell me how much it will cost the penalties including extend my visa for 2 months . Your penalty may be different as you have also broken the law by working while on a tourist visa.
I don’t know what will happen, whether your records are linked. Detention, deportation and fines are all optional penalties.
You may get away with the basic fines and visa fees to take you to the date you leave, but I would check out some legal options just in case.
Hey admin, my son overstayed in the philippines for 2 and a half years now and i know the penalties are a lot but im willing to pay those. Will he have issues once he enter US? Im a lawful resident but my son is a US citizen but i filed a affidavit that my aunt will be his gardian while he flies back in the US. Are there going to be a problem once he enter the US?
Hi administration I just want to ask.my fiance overstay here for 18months how much he can posible pay in the bi?
hi ,i came home from australia with my australian family on a balikbayan visa and we try to invest a business ,but it is likely to go bankcrupt , we been here since 2008 ,can’t afford to pay the penalties ,my husband is now sick need to go back with our children, is there a discount for investors ,appreciate your reply .
I have not heard of anything like that.
But a Balikbayan visa is not a working visa, so mentioning that might even make penalties higher.
With eight years unpaid visa fees and penalties per person, and you haven’t said how many Australians in the family, it will add up a bit.
Can you ask at the Australian Embassy if any help can be given? http://smartraveller.gov.au/help/me/overseas/something-happened/Pages/no-money.aspx
Hi, my girlfriend is overstaying about 6 months due to her condition being pregnant and our money is not enough for penalties. What other option we can do? Thank you admin!
My mother is a US citizen with US passport and she overstayed for almost 5 years..for she took care of her sister who died recently. my mother is 90 yrs. old now and wanted to go back to US. How much is her penalty or can she be given consideration for her age.
Hi Admin, my name is Amran from Indonesia. I graduated from Silliman (Philippine) in 2013, and departed to Indonesia in May 2013. However, I didn’t surrender my I-Card (9f), Now, I’m continuing my study to higher Degree and arrived in Philippine May 2017, what would be the consequence if I apply new student visa? If there is a fine, how much? Thank you
Hello admin ,
I came to Philippines last Dec 2014. I had the balikbayan visa for 12 months I’ve been overstaying for almost 2 years now. How much do you think is the penalty for me? I’m a US Citizen but was born in the Philippines. Can I still apply for a dual citizenship?
Hello! Are dual citizens (fil-am) get fines for staying in the Philippines? Also my daughter is born here to both dual citizen parents-married (PHL) but I was able to secure a CRBA from the US Embassy, question/s is 1: considering that she is a US CITIZEN with US passport, does that mean she already occured a fine/penalty ? 2: we’re planning to go overseas for a vacation and I was told to secure a Recognition to be a Filipino Citizen from the Bureau of Immigration and a Phl passport (DFA) to refrain from any possible conflicts.
Is there anything else I need to worry about or process?
Thanks in advance.
Hello admin. I am a Philippine 13a visa by marriage holder. My visa expired 2 months ago. If i am leaving the Philippines now or i want to renew, what are my visa fine costs.
I am not sure about the 13a Visa holders, but it might be similar to the Tourist visa overstay rates shown. You need to go to an Immigration office ASAP, to get the visa situation sorted, before it becomes more expensive, or worse.
Hello admin. Am a Philippine 13a visa by marriage holder. My visa expired 2 months ago. If i am to exit or renew it now. How much is the fees. ?
Hello ….I have been reading with interest your posts ….as I am an over stayed for 18 months now and want to reslove the situation …in your comments you say “be referred for deportation” …I wish to avoid blacklisting and deportation obviously …I intend to use a solicitor as my grounds are based on medical reasons…Is it likely I will be detained whilst we give evidence to prove the basis of my claim .
Thank you in advance
With reasonable reasons it would be unlikely to involve being detained, but the solicitor you mention should be better placed to give a more accurate answer.
Please let us know how you get on, after it is resolved.
Dear Admin,
Is there any grace period for more than one month stay? Like 30days plus five days before the flight? Airport immigration just gave us one month stay. and we have more five days to stay in phils. And if ever, how much would we pay each person. thank you
No grace period. It is normally 3,030 pesos for the first extension.
It is better than it was before, when it was just a 21 day visa free entry.
Some people have said they got the first extension at the airport on arrival.
Others arranged a longer visa before arrival.
I always went to a BoI office about a week before expiry, to get the renewal.
Where is the BOI located? Complete address please. Thank you?
Immigration Office Addresses:

Please complete address of BOI. Thank you
Just want to thank you BOI.
I just paid Php 2,130 for one month extension stay of my nephew. Staff are so accomodating and approachable?? Thank you so much?
hi, i have been informed that foreigners who overstay more than 12 months no longer get O.T.L. and B.L.O, as long as they pay the overdue fees and a fine they can stay in the Philippines .is this correct ??
hi im nica
my sin is overstaying in 7moths how much i can pay for this and what can i do?
It may be about 22,000, and you need to go to your nearest Bureau of Immigration office.
1 day over on my tourist visa, Flight lvs on 23rd visa expires on 22nd. Officials said I had 30 days but welcome to the PI’s, what is the fee.
Hi
I have already extended my visa for another 29 days and thats until the 28th, however, my flight is still on the 29th. How much will it cost me to extend for 1day? And what is the process? Thank u.
It will be another 1 month renewal, the same process as before.
Hi, if I already had an ACR I card then applied for an extension on the expiry date, they gave me a stub to return in one week, does that mean I have to pay for overstay of 7 days or it is covered from the date of my application?
There is no overstay if it is just the ACR-icard. It is the Visa that is important. You need a valid visa at all times, even if the ACR card isn’t valid. My ACR card ran out and I was told to just renew it at my next visa renewal.
Hi..my niece is overstaying she is U.S. citizen but her parent is filipino.how much penalty.. she went here 2014 until now her age is 4 yrs old
Is the child a dual citizen? If not, it should be a bit less than the 150,000 shown for Up to Five Years Overstay.
My student visa has been expired in March and now I want to extend my visa.. So how much it will cost for my extension
hi admin..
i have a question..my daughter who is canadian citizen ,and i have her birth late registration here in philippines consulate of toronto.she goes to school there for a year…now she is applying for philippine passport but having problem coz they asking for so much document..now she want to go back to canada …since she does not have the philippines passport and probably not consider dual citizen ,how much can she pay for overstaying…she is like 14 month now …
Hi admin,
I have a foreigner friend who stay here for almost 8 months now his problem he don’t have enough money to pay for his extension here he’s very much worried because of overstaying his passport may clause and that’s the only thing the bank asking before he can get his money what’s the best things to do so he can get his money before going back to the US
He needs to find a way to get the money to pay for the visa, the penalties and the ECC. Without that he can’t leave. His passport won’t be affected, unless it expires normally.
He should speak to his embassy if he is unable to sort it out himself, they may be able to do loans to help in emergencies, some countries do.
I am a japanese citizen i was born in japan my mother is a filipina my father is japanese.unfortunately before my mother died last 2010 she did not apply for us a dual citizen.i came in the philippines when i was 3 years old and we didnt have the opportunity to go back to japan until now.my passport had already expired.i have no communication with my father.my problem is how can i go back to japan?
You need to check your passport renewal with the Japanese embassy or consulate. They should be able to sort that out, if you have all your details.
As for your status in the Philippines, you may end up being classed as an overstaying foreigner, and you need to resolve that with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration. There should be a way to get Philippines Citizen status. You need to discus that with a Philippines immigration lawyer, or a friendly Bureau of Immigration officer.
I dont know how long a British national is allowed in the Philippines? So im not sure how much i’ve overstayed. Been here since April 12. Wondering where should i settle the fine? Do i need to go to the bureau? Or can i settle it at the airport?
Being on a British passport means you get treated like most others. You get 30 days free entry, and then need to renew.
Your passport will show you the date you should have renewed on, as there will be a stamp showing your entry, with the date you are permitted to stay until.
If you haven’t renewed, then you have been illegal since 12th May, in your case.
You need to go to a Bureau of Immigration now, and pay the overstay fines, and extend your stay. The Immigration at the airport would normally send you back to a main office to finalise your visa issue, before allowing you to fly. That normally means missing a flight, and sometimes an overnight stay, or longer, before being able to re-book.
I am a European citizen, I came to the Philippines in October of 2014. I did a few renewals of my visa and got my ACR card. After that I was unable to renew my visa and other requirement to be able to stay in the Philippines. because of my OBSSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER that makes everything so difficult for me. Iam now overstaying here for 20 months. My plan is to pay everything and fix my papers. My question is Will the immigration let me extend my stay here because its so difficult for me to travel and if ordered to exit will they allow me to come back..please help me.i have been a good tourist here though, helping some poor people around my village.
There are no guarantees, I hope that someone else that has done this can answer you better.
Hi, admin! My father was a naturalized US citizen (born filipino) and my mother is a filipino citizen. I was born in guam (6-11-97) twhich is why im a US citizen and we moved here in the Philippines (2003). Til then we were never able to return to Guam because my dad got ill and died. I am studying now and i am really anxious if there are laws that we’ve unconsciously disobeyed since my parents missed reporting my birth at the DFA in Guam. What should we do? My mom is incapable of fixing my documents because she cannot understand much of the English language. Hope to hear from you admin.
Hi admin
I am dual citizen, my mother is a filipina ang my father is japanese and came here when i was 3 years old and im staying here almost 14 years is that legal if you are dual citizen?
Hi admin

There is no problem for you staying in the Philippines as you are a citizen.
The difficulty sometimes happens when leaving and using a foreign passport, and you get treated as a foreigner.
The rules appear vague, some people have no problems, but some have to sort out exit visas etc.
My father is a u.s.citizen and he was overstayed here for almost 4 months. He want to go back in America, how much his penalty for this.
Maybe up to about 15,000 to 18,000 in unpaid visa fees and penalties.
hi admin,
i am from germany, i am 63 yrs of age, i came to Philippines last April 02, 2014…i always renew my visa every 6 months, but last May 28, i cannot renew my visa anymore because i need to go out of this country but i dont know that every before 3 years i must go out of this country….and now i overstay here for about 11 days today? but i cant afford now to go home, what would i do? what if i would still stay here in the Philippines what would i must make? is’t have a option to stay here and how much i pay the penalties? and what is the requirements? i have a 70% heart failure….i need advice will help me….please….thank you so much..
If you can’t afford to leave, you need to see what options might be available to get a resident visa. Do you have a Filipina partner? In your situation, you may need to see an immigration lawyer there.
Normally I would suggest the Special Resident Retiree’s Visa for this. But you need US$10,000 deposit, plus a Certificate of Retirement Benefits. The cost is also US$1400 + US$360 per year. You have mentioned not being able to afford to leave, so that may not be do-able.
Having gone past three years is normally a problem, BUT, an immigration lawyer might be able to get you around it.
A quick trip to Hong Kong and back would get you started again on the visitor visa 3 year schedule. Not sure how they deal with the penalty for the 11 days over. They may be lenient.
i dont have filipina partner i am single…thank you for your advice….
good advice
Hi,
My son is travelling with my dad in the Philippines. My dad is a Filipino and so is my husband, usually when we go there they just stamp us with a balikbayan stamp when we travel so…no visa needed. This time, however , they told my dad that since we (the parents) are not with him our son needs a visa…his cut off for staying is the 27th and their flight is the 28th… Where do they need to go to get the extension or will they just be charged fees when they leave? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Your nearest Bureau of Immigration will do that. Some have said that the airports can, when you arrive, but too many also say they won’t.
I wonder if they would allow you through immigration while the current visa is valid, and then wait for the flight the next day, on the other side of Immigration. Maybe not a good idea..
Hi ask KO lang po may son is Canadian citizen his parents are both Filipinos but may son is in the Philippines right now and decide to go back here in Canada how much is the penalty do I need to pay. Thank u god bless

Hi. Does it really take months for DOJ to process overstayed (student) visa? I paid all my fees and penalties at school few months ago until now I still dont have my passport. I need it to exit the country since it is also a requirement by staying here for 3 years already. Thanks
Hello,
I went to get my visa for the second month and there was a misunderstanding.
So i ended up with my visa ending 1 day before my flight back home. The problem is Thats its not easy to go the the immigration office from the place i am staying.
What happends if i just go to the airport? will i just need to pay a fine, or will they send me to the immigrationoffice? I am scared if that happens it will take really long and i will miss my flight.. how much would it cost?
Thank you so much !
There is the chance that you will be told to go to an immigration office from the Airport. That would take hours. I would arrange something the day before the flight, at the latest, and renew, to avoid problems.
Too many people miss flights for reasons like that.
Hi admin,
I was wondering how much it would cost and what process I have to go under for overstaying I’m the philipenes. I arrived in October 2016 and got pregnant shortly after. My doctor has a note for my hospital stays and I was wondering if this would help for the penelaties since I have t been well to fly. I have been cleared to fly by 2 separate doctors and am on a time crunch. Where do I go to pay these fees? And how do I go about this. Also my husband is also Canadian, same as me, and he has been here 10 months and no visa, how much will it be for him? Thank you. If you could also give us a comtact number

Hi admin,
My concern is this…i have a foreigner husband and we have one child..he was here since 2010 and he is just using a tourist visa,at first he renew maybe about 3 to 4 times only..from that
He needs to get his status legalised before he has major problems. I would suggest using an immigration lawyer and get the right visa.

my daugther was born in the philippines, i applied his Australian Citizenship in the Philippines. Yesterday was supposedly our 1st time to go in Australia, but the immigration refuse my daughter to leave the philippines because they are talking about something we have to pay.
They will probably be saying that your child needs an ECC before leaving.
The head of Immigration at Manila airport told me of cases like that a few years ago.

The Philippine Immigration rules do not appear to have changed. However some people have paid higher than others at times. That might include ACR-i cards though.
Hi Admin,
I am a US citizen, I came to the Philippines in February of 2013. I did a few renewals of my visa and got my ACR card. After that I was unable to renew my visa and other requirment to be able to stay in the Philippines. I have two kids with my filipina girlfriend. I’m looking to return back to the US within the next few months with my two children. My plan is to get dual citenzship for my kids and fix all my paperwork. I know I have to fix my paperwork first. My question is. Once I finish my paperwork will I be deported and black listed before I can process my children’s paperwork? Also would you recommend that I get a lawyer to process my visa paperwork? Any advice will help. Thank you.
In your situation I would probably use a lawyer. You have 4 years overstay, and ‘could’ be deported immediately. That is stated as a possibility. As a single traveller, that may not be a big deal, but for someone with kids it could be a nightmare.
A specialist lawyer might be able to help you through this.
